Welcome to Christ the Lord Lutheran Church

I believe that “welcome” is one of the most important things I can say to you in the midst of an often impersonal society and inhospitable world. Here, you are welcome. Not only because I say so but even more because God says so. As God has welcomed each of us into God’s house, God’s family, God’s kingdom, so we welcome each other. We want Christ the Lord Lutheran Church to be both a people and a place of welcome always.

One translation of I Peter 2:10 says “once you were no people, but now you are God’s people.” As a congregation of people, Christ the Lord Lutheran Church had humble beginnings in 1983, when four couples sought to organize a Lutheran Church in the Foothills area.

Today, by the grace and call of God, Christ the Lord Lutheran Church is both a people and a place. We are not just a group of people. We are God’s people. This is not just any place. We thank God for what He has accomplished in the midst of His people and this place.

Yes you are welcome here. May God make His people and this place welcoming always. To God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—be the glory always.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Bob Hutson
