faith community as broadly defined.

We would like to share that our Social Ministry Committee has sent a number of checks to Shoebox Ministry within the past 12 months to cover the cost of emergency purchase of toiletries for the homeless. Our current economy has presented many challenges to charity work, and we
at CtL have been active in helping fill the gaps. Shoebox Ministry is so very grateful for our congregation's generosity. We also just approved a donation of $750 going to Tanzania for the building of a well. The women there must go to the river to collect water daily, and it is a 3 mile walk.

Shoebox Ministry Mother’s Day Purse Event
Many thanks to the congregation for their support in the Easter Basket event this year.
With collected funds and donations in toiletries, CtL gave 60 filled baskets to Shoebox Ministry for their distribution to the Phoenix homeless. This project is a huge commitment in terms of time. CtL is indebted to Lori and Alex Baldwin who haul, organize, bag, and label all the toiletries every week. Thanks to Denise Frash, Hood & Carol Hampton, Lori Baldwin, and Char Ward for stuffing the baskets.
And thank you, Lori, for your many deliveries to Shoebox.
